Katie Frederick Whitta, DVM has been president of Findlay Civic Concert Band since 2020 and a member of the French Horn section since 2000. She joined the band after being a part of the University of Findlay Wind Ensemble, and has only missed one year season to the demands of veterinary school.

Dr. Frederick graduated from the University of Findlay with a BS in biology and pre-veterinary medicine in 2002. She then graduated with her DVM from The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. Frederick practiced small animal medicine in Findlay from 2006-2019, and then worked at MedVet in Toledo as an emergency clinician from 2019-2021 before starting her own veterinary practice, Flag City Mobile Veterinary Clinic.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, and she is well-known for baking - specifically her cookies. Dr. Frederick has two kids, Annie and Alex. Her husband, Brian Whitta, is the owner of Flag City REALTORS®. She is also a member of the Hancock County Humane Society Shelter Board, St. Michael the Archangel School Advisory Council, the Kiwanis Club of Findlay, and St. Michael the Archangel Parish.

She has one dog, Reagan, and a 16-year old, completely indoor cat named Garage Cat
