Otolaryngologist (ENT)

Erik Nielsen, MD, began playing the trombone in 1962. He has played the bass trombone since 1965 at Holt High School, and at Michigan State University (1969-1973), where he played in the marching band, wind ensemble, symphonic band, brass choir, orchestra and jazz band.

Dr. Nielsen played in the Lansing Symphony Orchestra for 2 years. He is currently part of the First Lutheran Church Brass Choir, he plays with the University of Findlay Symphonic Band, and has been a member of the Findlay Civic Concert Band since 2003.

He is an almost retired otolaryngologist (ENT), trained at University of Pennsylvania. He has practiced in Findlay for 25 years. Dr. Nielsen has been married to Joan for 40 years. They have two children and three grandchildren. He loves to golf and appreciates good wine and whiskey.
